Half the weight of a conventional pod. 168.5 kg against the 335 kg of our WorkaPod™ S. It goes up in a normal goods lift, carried by two people, with no hoist and no out-of-hours building access permit to pay for.
It moves when you move. Because it bolts together rather than arriving welded, it comes apart into flat panels and goes back up in your new unit. A pod that cannot be relocated is a fit-out cost you write off at lease end.
Room for the chair you already own. 1300 × 920 mm inside is sized around a standard ergonomic task chair, so you are not forced onto a fixed stool. Wheel your own chair in and the pod becomes a proper desk.
Lit for video calls, not for storage. Two 4000 K strip lights are positioned for the camera rather than mounted as harsh overhead glare, so your face reads evenly on a client call instead of being shadowed from above.
It never feels closed in. The ceiling is matte translucent polycarbonate, so daylight from the office comes through. That is the difference between a booth you use for two hours and one you leave after ten minutes.
Nobody opens the door mid-sentence. A light bar above the door shows the pod is occupied. It is a small thing that removes the single most common complaint people have about working inside any enclosed booth.
Step-free at the threshold. The floor edge sits nearly flush with your own, so there is no lip to catch a heel or a castor — which the manufacturer notes also makes access easier for wheelchair users.
Eight fabrics, inside and out. Gray, Cream White, Pink Brown, Tan, Dark Green, Green, Dark Blue and Light Blue, with the interior and the exterior specified separately so the pod can match the room and the brand.
